Cables for PLC Programming and Expansion I/O
Programming and communication cables for: Productivity3000 PACs, CLICK PLCs and DirectLogic PLCs
Since CPUs provide many different communication port possibilities, it is helpful to know exactly which
communications cable is required. Please refer to the reference tables provided in the catalog or
technical specification documents to determine the requirements for your CPU. Cables available for PLC
programming and I/O expansion include:
- D0-CBL - 12ft. (3.66m) RS232C shielded networking cable without RTS connections for CLICK, DL05, D2-240, D4-450, RJ12 networking ports. Enables direct networking of two PLCs.
- D2-DSCBL - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded PC programming cable for DL05, DL06, DL105, DL205, D3-350, D4-450 and CLICK CPUs. 9-pin D-shell female connector to an RJ12 6P6C connector.
- D2-DSCBL-1 - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded PC programming cable for DL06, D2-250-1 and D2-260 CPUs. 9-pin D-shell female connector to a 15-pin male HD15 connector.
- D2-DSCBL-2 - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded pigtail cable for the bottom port of a DL06, D2-250-1 or D2-260 CPU. 15-pin D-shell male SVGA connector to 14 tinned wires.
- D2-EXCBL-1 - DL205 base expansion cable, 1m
- D3-DSCBL-1 - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded PC programming cable for the D3-340 CPU. 9-pin D-shell female connector to an RJ11 connector.
- D3-DSCBL-2 - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded PC programming cable for the DL330 & DL330P CPUs. An RS232 Data Communications Unit is also required to use this cable. 9-pin D-shell female connector to 25-pin D-shell male connector. Can also be used to connect the bottom port of a DL405 or D3-350 CPU, or to DL205/DL305/DL405 DCM modules.
- D3-EXCBL - Base expansion cable, 1.5 ft. (0.5m)
- D3-HPCAS - Handheld programmer cassette interface replacement cable to connect a D3-HP or D3-HPP to a recorder for program storage (qty. 2)
- D3-HPCBL - Handheld programmer shielded extension cable, 4.62 ft. (1.5m) for D3-HPP
- D4-DSCBL - 12 ft. (3.66m) RS232 shielded PC programming cable for the 15-pin port on the DL405 CPUs. 9-pin D-shell female connector to 15-pin D-shell male connector. For programming over the DL405 25-pin port, use D3-DSCBL-2.
- D4-EXCBL-1 - Base expansion cable, 1m length
- D4-EXCBL-2 - Base expansion cable, .5m length
- D4-HPCBL-1 - DL405 Handheld Program Extension Cable for use with D4-HPP-1 programmer, 3m length
- D4-HPCBL-2 - DL405 Handheld Program Extension Cable for use with D4-HPP-1 programmer, 1.5m length
- D4-CASCBL - DL405 Cassette interface cable for use with D4-HPP-1 programmer
- FA-CABKIT - Universal cable kit for all CPUs (with RS232C ports) and personal computers. Comes with four pre-wired D-Sub to modular adapters, which can connect most RS-232C ports using a single unshielded 7ft. (2.1m) cable (included). Includes manual with product. NOTE: Does not include 15-pin connector for bottom port of of D2-250 CPU.
- USB-RS232 - 6 ft. USB to RS-232C serial adapter cable transparently connects serial devices to PC applications via a USB port. USB-A male connector to 9-pin D-shell male connector. If needed, drivers can be downloaded from http://support.automationdirect.com/products/usbrs232.html (choose USB-RS232 adapter driver).
