The DURApulse series of variable frequency drives (VFD) offers all of the features of our GS2 series of AC drives including dynamic braking, PID,
removable keypad and RS-485 Modbus communication.
- All DURApulse series AC drives have three-phase inputs and three-phase outputs unless otherwise noted.
- The DURApulse VFDs offer sensorless vector control with the option of encoder feedback for enhanced speed control.
- The standard smart keypad (a.k.a. HIM or Human Interface Module) is designed with defaults for the North American customer and
allows you to configure the drive, set the speed, start and stop the drive, and monitor critical parameters for your application.
- In addition, this keypad has internal memory that allows four complete programs to be stored and transferred to any DURApulse VFD.
- The DURApulse GS3 series VFDs offer three analog inputs, eleven digital inputs, and one SPDT relay output.

DURApulse AC Line Reactors
Input and output reactors are available for GS3 Series DURApulse AC Drives
- There are two types of AutomationDirect line reactors that can be used with GS series AC Drives: the original GS series line reactors (legacy) and the
newer LR series VFD line reactors. The LR series line reactors may also be used with a variety of other VFD brands.
- LR series line reactors have universal mounting feet with multiple mounting slots and they can replace most drive line reactors using the existing mounting holes.

DURApulse Braking Options (Braking Units & Braking Resistors)
Braking units are applied to absorb the motor regeneration energy when the three-phase induction motor stops by deceleration.
- Braking Units are available only for GS3 Series DURApulse drives.
- Braking resistors are used to increase the control torque of the AC drive, for frequently repeated ON-OFF cycles of the
AC drive, or for decelerating a load with large inertia.
- GS-2DBU and GS-4DBU, used with GS series braking resistors, provide optimum braking performance.

DURApulse EMI / RF Filters
- Input EMI filters reduce electromagnetic interference or noise on the input side of the AC drive (VFD).
- They are required for CE compliance and recommended for installations prone to or sensitive to electromagnetic interference.
- RF filters reduce the radio frequency interference or noise on the input or output side of the inverter.
