NEMA Enclosure Sub-Panels

NEMA Sub-Panels Sub-panels are not included with our industrial NEMA enclosures and must be purchased separately.
The specifications table for each enclosure family lists the part number of the sub-panel that goes with each enclosure.

AutomationDirect offers the following types of sub-panels for the Hubbell Wiegmann electrical enclosures:

N1P Series - Sub-panels for NEMA 1 and NEMA 12 Enclosures.
Sub-panels for large enclosures are made from either 14-gauge or 12-gauge steel and are painted in white polyester powder.

P Series - Sub-panels for NEMA 4, 4X, and 12 Continuous Hinge Enclosures.
Sub-panels are made from 14-gauge carbon and stainless steel. Steel sub-panels are painted white polyester powder.

NP Series - Sub-panels for NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 4/12 and 12 Wall Mount Enclosures.
Sub-panels for NEMA 1 large, 12, 4 and 4X wall mount enclosures are made of 12-gauge steel. Subpanels with any side over 17� have 3/4� flange on all sides. Sub-panels are painted white polyester powder.

NPDD Series - Sub-panels for NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 4/12 and 12 Two-Door Floor Mount Enclosures.
Steel sub-panels are fabricated from 10-gauge carbon steel. Sub-panels are painted white polyester powder. Sub-panels are used in NEMA 12 two-door floor mount enclosures and some two-door wall mount enclosures.

WA Series - Sub-panels, center panel supports, swing-out panels and side-mount panels for NEMA Freestanding Enclosures.
Steel sub-panels are fabricated from 10 or 12-gauge carbon steel. Sub-panels are painted white polyester powder.

NOTES FOR ORDERING SUBPANELS:

All NEMA 4/12 (N412xxxxxxC series) enclosures are designed for use with NPxxxxC series sub-panels only.
The original NEMA 4/12 (N412 series) enclosures (without the C suffix part number) have now been replaced by the N412xxxxxxC series enclosures.

Do NOT use NPxxxxC subpanels in NEMA 1, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, or NEMA 12 enclosures.
NPxxxxC subpanels will also NOT fit in older NEMA 4/12 enclosures (purchased prior to 3-23-05) that do NOT have a C suffix part number.

For example: Subpanel NP1212C will NOT fit older NEMA 4/12 enclosures such as N412121206 or N412121206SS.
Do NOT use NPxxxx subpanels in NEMA 4/12 enclosures (N412 series) with a C suffix part number. (i.e. N412121206C)

NPxxxx series subpanels (without "C" suffix part number) are for use only with NEMA 1, NEMA 4 and 4X, and NEMA 12 enclosures,
or older N412 series enclosures without a "C" suffix part number (N412xxxxx part numbers purchased prior to 3-23-05)
