Stainless Motors designed for IP56 washdown applications!
Washdown motors are designed for use in food and beverage processing or other applications where motors are frequently exposed to moisture, humidity, certain chemicals or other washdown environments. These stainless steel motors are NOT rated for direct contact with food. Washdown duty features include:

Double lip seals, both ends of the stainless motor & shaft slinger on the drive-end
O-rings installed on end-bells to eliminate moisture
Stainless steel drain plugs installed in both end-bells
Seal-tight cable gland installed at the factory
Case, JBox & fan shroud are 304 stainless, motor shaft is 303 stainless
Seals are heat resistant fluorinated silicone rubber, suitable for caustic environment.
There are NO restrictions on the orientation of these stainless steel motors! (Vertical or horizontal)
(NOTE: shaft re-orientation does require the relocation of the drain plugs)
