HPS Fortress™ Commercial Encapsulated Transformers
HPS Fortress commercial encapsulated transformers from Hammond provide an innovative design that is ideal for industrial applications where quality, ease of installation, and low cost are key. All Fortress units are encapsulated power transformers with electrical grade silica sand and resin compounds, which completely enclose the core and coil to seal out moisture, airborne contaminants and eliminates corrosion and deterioration. The NEMA 3R rating allows these potted transformers to be used as indoor/ outdoor transformers.

Quality Design:

All power transformer units are encapsulated with electrical grade silica sand and resin compounds which completely enclose the core and coil to seal out moisture, airborne contaminants and eliminate corrosion and deterioration.

Insulation:

Offering UL class 130�C (266�F) insulation, 80�C (176�F) temperature rise up to 1kVA on single phase; 180�C (356�F) insulation, 135�C (275�F) temperature rise on all units over 1kVA on single phase.
Quiet operation with sound levels below NEMA standards.

Enclosures:

NEMA 3R enclosures meet or exceed listing criteria including NEMA, ANSI, and OSHA standards for indoor and outdoor service.
Rear and side entry into an easily accessible and roomy wiring compartment.
Color is ANSI 61 gray, UL50

Wiring compartment:

Provides tinned copper lead wire terminations and standard ground lug assembly for easy cable installation.
Taps are convenient to select output voltage
Output voltage adjustable by taps
