DL305 Specialty Modules

The DL305 features specialty modules such as ASCII/ BASIC modules, high-speed counter modules, and communication interface modules. Available specialty modules include:

• F3-AB128, F3-AB128-T and F3-AB128-R ASCII modules
  The ASCII/BASIC module interfaces the DirectLOGIC 305 family of programmable controllers with barcode readers, operator interface terminals, instrumentation equipment, computers and other serial devices. The three ports offer a range of communication interfaces and baud rates. The ASCII/BASIC modules require the use of a D3-330 or 340 CPU. They are not supported by the D3-350 CPU.
  
  Options include:
  • A built-in 300/1,200/2,400 baud telephone modem(F3-AB128-T) or leased-line radio modem(F3-AB128-R).
  
  
• D3-08SIM Simulator Module
  8-point input simulator module for program development/debug
  
  
• D3-TCSU Timer/Counter Setpoint Unit
  The DL305 Timer/Counter Setpoint Unit (TCSU) is compatible with all D3-330/340 series CPUs that provides a low-cost solution for changing timer/counter preset values or register data. This unit has four sets of thumb wheels that allow you to quickly and easily change the presets for four predefined timer/counter registers, or 4 predefined data registers. This unit attaches to the CPU and power supply. It utilizes internal base power, so make sure you take this into consideration when you calculate your system power budget. The D3-TCSU uses the D3-TCSUBKT mounting bracket.
  
  

NOTES: New option modules may not be supported by CPUs purchased prior to the modules release.
