22mm Emergency Stop/ Mushroom Pushbuttons and Stations
Cutler-Hammer’s 22 mm industrial pushbutton E22 series line offers a wide array of functional, smartly-styled black bezel illuminated
and non-illuminated pushbuttons, selector switches, and more. The space-saving design and modular construction of the E22 series makes on-the-job
installation fast and easy.
The European Machinery Safety Directive EN 418 requires all emergency OFF devices to be self-latching types and to have:
- Positive (direct) opening operation
- Devices have to be manually reset
- Actuators must be mushroom head type and colored RED
- Background immediately around the device actuator should be colored YELLOW

- Red 40 mm or 50 mm mushroom operators
- Trigger action maintained or push-pull maintained operation
- Optional yellow E-Stop legend plate is available (E22VAB)
- Optional yellow guard is available (E22MGTA)
CE EN 418 Non-Compliant Emergency Stop Mushroom Pushbuttons
- Red 40 mm or 50 mm mushroom operators
- Twist release maintained or momentary operation
- Optional yellow E-Stop legend plate is available (E22VAB)
Mushroom Pushbutton Station
- Safety-yellow cover and light gray base polycarbonate enclosure
- Latch in, twist to release operation
- Non-compliant with EN418 requirements.
- UL (NEMA) Type 4, 4X, 12, 13
