Dear Sirs, THERE ARE FIRMWARE ERRORS IN THE PROGRAMMING of this SERVO-DRIVE. I programmed one of the the outputs to "AT Position". This output will change state when the controller is turned on, during boot up, regardless of position. This makes the output "AT Position" totally useless and extremely dangerous for many machinery applications. I connected this servo system to a shearing machine. Fortunately, I had installed other protective interlocks to the shear circuit which prevented the loss of any fingers. Be Careful out there!!!

Great product for small bed mills, except the motors keyless shaft size won't fit anything. At first i thought interface was going to be a little tuff (Im a machine builder, not an electronics geek) but 1 call to tech support, and it turned out to be very easy. I will be buying more of these and i hope they shrink the shaft diameter, and make it just a little longer, and add a keyway.

Software does not download and update the drive consistantly. User manual requires a power cycle for downloaded parameters to take. LED light takes 10-15 mintues to go completely out for the drive to take new downloads. I have been fighting with this drive for 3 days trying for it to take downloads. I will never buy another drive from A.D. Constant nuisance alarms for overspeed. I had to reset the drive with factory defaults several times to get it to come back to life for configuration.

We are an OEM. My company selected the Sure Servo line not only because of value but because of availability. Recently I had a customer with a down machine and you had no SVL-204's in stock. That left me in a very bad situation. We had to buy a 204B, take it apart, disable the brake, obviously invalidating the warranty. I got my customer back up and running, but it took a great deal of effort and additional expense to do so. Could you please keep a better inventory????????

Used in a light-duty industrial application. After several months in development, the drive was in service for 18-20 months before failure. The failure occurred 2 months after warranty expired. I replaced it with the same model hoping that its early demise was an anomaly- not wanting to re-develop the application with other equipment. Caveat Emptor!

This mid sized motor packs a punch! Super torqu-ey and really responsive. The only REAL BUMMER is METRIC shaft sizes make it a pain to match up with other power transmission products in the U.S. Hey Sales & Marketing Dept!- How about a U.S. (SAE) version please?

Rather easy to program, the wireing diagrams I thaught left a little bit to be desired but the tech support was very helpful and friendly. I feel it could use a few more physical Digital Input points to expand its large input data base. It has about 44 possible input options and only 8 physical input points, but it is overall a great unit.
