Software does not download and update the drive consistantly. User manual requires a power cycle for downloaded parameters to take. LED light takes 10-15 mintues to go completely out for the drive to take new downloads. I have been fighting with this drive for 3 days trying for it to take downloads. I will never buy another drive from A.D. Constant nuisance alarms for overspeed. I had to reset the drive with factory defaults several times to get it to come back to life for configuration.

This cable connects to the 15-pin High-Density connector of a D2-250-1 or D2-260 or D0-06xx. The other end is designed to connect directly to CN3 of a servo amp. It is designed for RS-485 communications ONLY! I initialy used this cable to test my program. I WAS planning on fabricating a cable to connect the PLC to the servos' field wiring. When I tried to install the four jumpers onto the TINY pins on the rear of the connector, I gave up and simply cut off the servo-connector end of this cable and used the HD-15 end to connect the PLCs' port 2 to the field wiring at terminals. At the low price A-D charges for these cables, it is worth far more than my time trying to fabricate a cable myself! Look at the SureServo manual (page 6-9) for the pin-outs of the three wires you will use for comunications.

Solved my EMI problem. After installing a GS2 AC motor drive in my greenhouse the Insteon power line link switches in the greenhouse were getting spurious signals. Installing this filter fixed that. Installing the filter under the GS2 as the instructions directed would have made a combination too deep for my box so I mounted the filter on the side off the box.

I just used this cable on a three-servo design. The cable comes in handy as the connector on the servo is not something you can easily make yourself. The only issue I had was finding the wire colors called out somewhere. I finally found them in the servo manual. I used this cable with RS-232 for individual servo tests and with RS-485 in the actual installation. They worked great and looked professional. I DO recommend that anyone that is going to be working with SureServos buy the RS-232 and RS-485 serial cables for connection to the 15-pin High-Density ports on the D0-06 and D2-250-1/260 for servo software development or for single-servo designs.

Had instrument noise problems when running GS1`, GS2 or Durapulse drives nearby. Install these on input and output wiring of drives and reduced interference by at least 80%. Quick, cheap, easy, effective. Highly recommended.

The cable proved to be a valuable asset while configuring the drive for a specialized machining process. Likewise for the sure servo drive software, it is an excellent tool and user-friendly option that permits ease of navigation for process control customization.

When you forget to order the cable and have to make a cable over a weekend to get a system up again. To make this cable you need an Apple Comm cable and 15 pin male sub-d and fine all of that in Modesto on Sunday was not fun, then cut it and build it. All of Automationdirect cables are excellent and a real time saver.

I installed a GS3-22P0 drive in my CNC router and it generated a LOT of conducted noise on all the power circuits, including ground. It paralyzed the rest of my system. After installing the filter, everything runs beautifully. It's too bad the filters aren't just built in to the drive, but at least there is a solution. NOTE: The wiring diagram on the box that it comes in is wrong where it says which color wires to use for single phase. Call tech support if you're not sure.
