Soft start relay has been in the field for 2 weeks and is working well. Unit starts a 15HP oil well pumping unit (high starting torque). Ramp start time is 5 seconds at 30% voltage. Unit cycles on/off about once a hour. Reduced my peak power demand by 30% (nice!), and unit starts smoothly. I expect much longer run times on belts and less wear on the shivs. The only thing I don't like is the size of the power input/out lugs. I was using #4 CU and it was very hard to fit. Bob
