Very good display for the price. I have used many others from Allen Bradley and Modicon, and would consider this display of equal quality. The simulator feature of the panel configuration software is a very good way to make copies of your screens if your project requires operator documentation. Click Print-Screen, and the paste directly into Microsoft Paint. Select the area you need, right-click and select "copy" from your mouse and paste directly into your Microsoft word document. I have used this display with Automation direct PLC's and with a custom designed circuit board using a PIC microprocessor. I selected the Modbus RTU protocol to communicate with the Panel (it worked great!). I now have an inexpensive user interface for all my PIC applications!

Value, availability, quality - really helps get into client areas that would normally not be able to afford. We are able to sell machines for much lower cost with your controls. Would like to see you add ground bars.

Awsome product. I selected this unit for the hogh contrast white as the plants I'll be putting these in are bright and dark and very dusty. I've used C-Mores and EZ-Touch screens for years. This one stacks up well against those at a tremendous value.

I am replacing the use of the 3.5 inch screen with the new 6 inch. So far I have to say for the price, this screen is great. The added size and brightness of the screen make things clear and easy to read in my application.

I don't usually do this, but reviewer #2 should have considered the fact that this screen costs only $299.00. How can anyone gripe about that? Agreed, this is not the best HMI out there, but for the money a few small sacrifices it gives you an awesome HMI that is fully capable of basic and advanced PLC control. If this HMI was $1200+ perhaps his complaints would have merit. AD has some of the best documentation to be found, all free, all online, 24-7. Please don't be deterred, while it is not the best HMI to be had, for $299.00 it's size, it's features, and it's technical backing are a no brainer. P.S. hire someone who knows the difference between 120vac and 24vdc, that shouldn't be a negative reflection of AD's products. Hook up a 24dc light bulb to 120vac, tell us what happens.

I found EA1-S6MLW to be very easy to used and I like the way the high contrast white version really pops when used with a 24v supply.

Nice operator interface!!! at an unbeatable price. I used this touch screen to communicate to a AB micrologix 1200 on a press with no problems. The communications was a breeze and the free software was better than expected far better than AB's Panelbuilder32. I now plan on adding the C-more Micro to all of our presses. this touch screen is a breath of fresh air compared to the other screens I have used. looking forward to tringing out the C-more 8" color touch screen for some data collection. Thanks Automation Direct!!!! fast shipping and good tech support. you are now my top automation suppler!

Purchased 1st item, was zapped by chowderhead electrician wiring 120Vac into 24Vdc connection. Unit not repairable, according to TechSupport. Disassembled, appeared that a sacrificial resistor blew when connected. But not fixable. Design should be more robust & forgiving. A-D should have a repair function for this. Purchased 2nd item as replacement. Noticed that the display quality of 2nd item was much better than 1st item. 1st item had vertical lines or slight shading on the left hand side of the display, 2nd item clearly did not. Assumed this was a quality control problem, or the 1st unit was returned-resold. I like the concept of the display separate from the keyboard bezel. Programming software is pretty good. Help File needs more examples and "how-to" and tutorials rather than extensive descriptions of what a function IS. Nobody has time to learn something anymore, just show me how to do it. I'll read about it later. I can see what a function IS, I need to know how to IMPLEMENT and USE the function. I found it generally easy to program and implement because I was familiar with the general concept from other HMIs. Pretty good selection of function tools, suitable for my purpose. Some of the graphic icons are too clunky and gobble up useful screen real-estate. Wish I had a few more color selections, but not willing to pay more for it. Graphic resolution should be better for such a small screen, and also because this is almost 2009. Low resolution & text font selection makes it hard for me to put in identifying text in buttons, labels, switches, etc. Get rid of the Serif-type fonts, use only San-Sefif fonts for visual clarity. Disappointed with graph capability. Not useful with so few points. Put in a USB or other suitable port on the item itself. Don't make me purchase YET ANOTHER CABLE for a A-D product!
