I replaced an EA7-S6C-R with another, as someone had broken the glass on the screen. It dropped in and hooked up easily, and I uploaded the operator program. The only issue I encountered was that the new hardware's firmware had been uprev'd one step from the operator program, and I could not see how to uprev the operator program prior to up loading it. I ended up downreving the new hardware's firmware first.

Excellent value with better than average features and quality. Very simple to use in conjunction with Automation Direct PLC's. Also has an excellent interface to allow it to be configured over Modbus to use with other controllers as well. This unit has become our standard regardless of the PLC requested by our customers.

As other reviewers have mentioned, there are issues with the plastic on the front of the screen not laying perfectly flat after installation in an electrical enclosure - I always get ripples with the T8C model. The replaceable protective screen covers are also annoying as they add a blurry haze to the screen because they have a texture to their surface. Other than that these are fantastic and well priced. There are a few limitations to the software - I particularly don't like the inability to suppress events from triggering at startup - but overall the software is very intuitive and handles smaller scale and even some medium size projects with aplomb.

The only thing negative, is the flimsy top plastic sheet over the display. A hard surface would be preferred, but overall, it's a good value, and the software is by far the easiest stuff out there to use.

It is a high-value item, but lacks some of the features the next-higher priced models have that would be nice to have: USB, compact disk, and Ethernet. If the USB function at least were added, this would allow removable memory capabilities. Because of the high-value, this touchscreen is cheaper to install than 6 pilot devices, with infinite possibilities. Job well done!

Very easy to make Professional applications to interface between the machine and the operator. Integrating this Touch Panel with the AutomationDirect products lines of PLCs and Inverters produce a very reliable systems with a lot of info so the user knows every moment the actual status of the machine.

The EA7-S6C-R is a great touch screen especially if you don't need networking capabilities. Simple to install and program and have a great lifespan. Even though this model only has a 6" screen the resolution still makes it easy to see.

Alarm Banner & Alarm history text must be adjustable. Right now you can only get a few letters in there. By the time & date get stamped there isn't much room for actual alarm text. This is a major down side to the product.

Easy to program. Like all the built in functions. The alarm banner (event message) really needs to be adjustable. By the time the time & date are selected, there's very little room for actual alarm text. Every customer has complained that they can't see the whole alarm text. 1) make option to adjust text 2) or make banner 2-3 lines

I put this unit in approx. 2 years ago. Besides getting twice the size for the same or better cost than the other brand I was looking at, I found it easy to program. I was able to take a previous tag database and convert it via csv files in excel and then import it into the C-more with only a couple of easy steps. I have had excellent tech support when needed and have received upgrades/updates for the panel and the programming software at no additional cost unlike some other brands I use. All in all, I have had a pleasant experience using this panel and software and would recommend it to anyone.

If only there were a driver that worked with the Galil RIO PLC I would be happy. Very little luck using the Modicon TCP/IP driver and Modbus. But I like these screens and the programming software is good except for the poor support of third-party PLCs like the Galil RIO.

Overall I think it is a good product, and the price is right. My only real problem is I wish that the bezel would lay flat and tight. It is wrinkly and causes a glare which makes the panel hard to read/use. I've tried several replacement bezels but none which were satisfactory. The support & customer service for this product have been excellent. Also, a more powerful webserver & faster communication with full telemetry would be preferred, but for the price it's a great product.

As an OEM of packaging equipment, we have used this panel on some of our products, mostly with DL-06 PLCs. It's easy to layout buttons and screens with good graphics. Negatives: we've lost a few due to broken screens from customer's claimed normal pushing of buttons. The bezel is big for a small screen and mounting brackets occupy more space than should be required, which means a larger HMI enclosure than you may want. We solve the mounting by buying our mounting brackets from EZ Automation (pn EZ-BRK-2).

We have installed several of these over the past year or so. We have excellent service out of all of them with the exception of one that we purchased in April 2008. This unit would go the sleep and the only way to awake it was to cycle power. We have changed it out and are in the process of contacting tech support for help as what the problem might be. As soon as it is resolved more info will follow.

We use this touchscreen on just about everything we build and it has made our products much more user friendly than they were before we started using them. They are also very robust compaired to touchscreens from other manufacturers we have used in the past, ESPECIALY EZ Touch!!

Great HMI for the price. Very reliable with a decent driver base. The Siemens S7-200 driver is a nice feature. It get's you away from the horrid TP-177A!

The graphics are good the only drawback to this HMI is that some of the objects like sliders are hard to use with your finger, but if you use a stylus they wrok great.

I've used quite a few of these in the past year, and I've had zero failures. The Symbol Factory graphics are decent, and easy to manipulate, and the driver database makes it more valuable to me. I really like the addition of the Siemens S7-200 drivers. Now, I'm not stuck with that terrible TP-177A anymore. THe AB native tag drivers work well, as do the 5/05 Ethernet / IP drivers. Good stuff!

I have installed several of these for various customers all of whom are very satisfied. The data logging, web and FTP servers sell the product. Excellent driver library. Only drawbacks I've encountered are frequent firmware changes (I have four different versions of C-more on my laptop)and inability to scale analog data tags making for extra programming work and sub par trend graphs.
