C-More HMI's are my 1st choice when designing a new system. As a developer of one-off systems C-Mores' they have a nice set of developed objects that are easy to use and allow for quick development of new designs. I also use them for putting together proof-of-concept test assemblies when you want to spend less than an hour developing and running the test.

Panels work great, but the suggested modular 1.5A power supply (EA-AC) is inadequate for these larger panels. The backlight would flicker, and the panels would often lock up or reset. We have switched to external 3A power supplies, and haven't had any more problems.

Excellent product...I have four of them in use with no issues. However if your looking to buy the 6" TFT touch panel and you don't plan to use the Ethernet capability, I would recommend the c-more micro color 6" instead. The definition and color is still awesome, visibility is great and the bezel is much thinner (and it's $100 cheaper) than the entry level TFT 6 C-more.

I have dozens of applications, from fairly simple 3 or 4-screen (pages) installations to applications with nearly a hundred screens in a touchscreen. I have used every size from the 6-inch to the 15-inch units and only had a possible failure when a screen failed while I was updating it's firmware and was locked out. Automation direct instantly sent me a replacement screen and examined the failed unit when I shipped it back. I don't recall their explanation and I didn't really care; they replaced the screen with minimal hassle. I use these screens with Automation Direct PLCs AND with Allen-Bradley PLCs without any issues. It is BY FAR the easiest screen to work with. My customers LOVE the built-in Data-logging capability and the Alarm Banner function. They are rugged too: I have several 8-inch screens in vending machines around the country. A frustrated customer punched a screen out but it STILL works and remains in-place even though the screen is cracked.

I found the C-More touch panel very easy to setup and program. The screen resolution is very good. It is very easy to operate. I plan on using more of these touch panels in the future.

We use quite a few of the C-More touch screens and realy like them. They allow us quite a bit of flexability for where we use them in our product line. I would think that it is safe to say that we would not even consider another line of touch screens!
