This is the first plc I have ever purchased and have ever tried to program. The device itself seems to be a great little device for the price. I have struggled programming the device in part from my inexperience and in part by the lack of documentation with the device for a first time user. More detail in how to wire the device as well as sample programs and a tutorial would be great. As I said before, I am a very inexperienced user and what may be very apparent to someone familiar with plc's was not apparent to me. This is not a shortcoming in the product, but if this is being sold as a first time plc a little more support for a plc for dummies would be great. Once learned, this is a tremendous value for what it can do for the cost of the device.

I would like to see the external power supply plug directly into the side of the PLC rather than wiring the 24vdc. This would give a much neater appearance. The software apparently does not have an MCR command, which I use extensively in other softwares. Overall, I think it is a very cool product with a lot of potential.

We do interface work for a machine tool company and have been using the DL-05's for some time now. We have had a couple of larger projects that we needed to add extra I/O on and decided to try these new units. We were very excited with the modular aspect of them and the ease with which we were able to change over to them. So far they have held up and worked with no problems. I will continue using them for all our future jobs as long as they continue to preform the way they are now.

I an an OEM and would love to use this PLC. The software is MUCH easier to use than Direct Soft 5.And it would save me soooo much time using the Zip Links. The problem...everything I do has analog. And I need a little non-volatile memory because I use the C-More to input the calibration parameters. My systems normally don't operate during the winter (3-4 months). Please give me analog & non-volatile memory.

what a deal!! and it's is compact size makes it easy to put anywhere you can think of. it also looks to be a rather durable unit. the software is nice and FREE!! :-) I use RSLOGIX 500 so it was fun to learn the new software of which I now prefer so I will now be using Automation Direct from now on. I am using this PLC for a light controller in our shop it is under utilized but it is a good test for it. Thanks a Bunch Automation Direct!!
