The CLICK line of PLCs continues to impress me. I have my Instrumentation students each buy their own (non-analog) CLICK processors for their PLC course, and from what I have seen it is a far superior product to the DL series. I recently bought the new model with a built-in RS-485 port and analog capability for myself, and it is absolutely amazing. The analog I/O is super-easy to set up. The floating-point math capabilities of the CLICK processor make analog signal processing easy as well. I am currently writing a PID control algorithm for the CLICK. The algorithm is almost finished, and the processor's average scan time is still less than 5 milliseconds (and the program less than 2% memory usage). The things you can do with this little processor boggle the mind . . .
