This was the first time I have used this particular button but have used countless similar ones in the past. There seems to be a slight issue with this one. Once installed in a standard Hoffman button enclosure, I could gently pull up on the mushroom operator and then spin the operator misaligning it with the base. Once this happens the button will not actuate. Upon further investigation, I found that the design relies on the mounting (silver) nut to retain the stem (black under the mushroom) in the body (brassy color). If the nut is not down on the stem far enough, it allows the stem to disengage from it's guides in the body and sit on top of the guides when spun slightly.
After exhausting all possible installation washer combinations, I decided to grind down (only about .060") the lead in of the threads on the body that the mounting nut engages. This allows the nut to thread on a bit more holding the stem in the body a bit further. The button(s) are working fine after this alteration but I'm sure it voids any warranty that may be present.
