In my experience, this one is best used when the target is clearly defined, which is what you would expect from a low-cost item. It has no problem with solid objects, but gets a little iffy with translucent targets (i.e. soda straws)or with highly reflective backgrounds ( for example, shiny aluminum plates). I wish the adjustment pot had a larger head so I wouldn't have to keep so many teeny screwdrivers around. Overall, good value for the money on solid targets.
