Disconnects and Switches
Load control, transfer and disconnect devices can switch large loads and maintain maximum safety by ensuring a circuit is completely de-energized for service. These devices carry various UL ratings for specific uses in electrical systems.

Disconnects and switches maintain maximum safety by ensuring a circuit is completely de-energized for service. UL 98, 498, 508, and 1008-rated fused and non-fused disconnects provide suitable disconnecting means up to 600A for the most demanding applications.

Manual Transfer Switches
Socomec SIRCOVER transfer switches provide safe, manually operated transfer and disconnection of sources, even under load. These UL 1008 rated switches are ideal for generator switching in systems where power loss could cause business disruption.
Fused Disconnects
UL 98 and UL 489 fusible disconnects provide a high short-circuit current rating, rated to operate under load to provide safe isolation and circuit protection. In ratings up to 600A,these disconnect switches are available with up to 4 poles; handles, shafts and fuses are sold separately.
Non-Fused Disconnects
UL 98 non-fusible disconnects safely control and disconnect circuits while under load. In ratings up to 600A, these disconnects are available with up to 4 poles with a high short-circuit current rating; handles and shafts are sold separately.
Non-Fused DC-Rated Disconnects
UL 98 DC-rated non-fusible disconnects are load-break capable and provide a high short-circuit current rating. These rotary disconnect switches, rated up to 250A at 1000 VDC, are front-operated with a direct-mount or remote handle (sold separately).
Motor Disconnects & Controllers
UL 508 non-fusible disconnects and manual motor controllers are rated to operate while under load to provide safe isolation. These 3-pole rotary switches, in DIN rail or door-mount options, are available in ratings up to 125A (50hp); handles and shafts are sold separately.
Hazardous Area Enclosed Disconnects

Hazardous area enclosed disconnects provide reliable power isolation in hazardous and corrosive environments. Models are available in fused and non-fused designs with lockout/tagout capability, rugged enclosures, and NEMA 4X/IP66 protection.
Enclosed Motor Disconnects
UL 508 enclosed non-fusible disconnects are perfect for safely controlling and disconnecting motors. These 3-pole enclosed disconnect switches, pre-mounted in an enclosure, are available in ratings up to 125A, with up to a 65kA SCCR rating.
Mechanical Interlocks
Interlocked motor disconnects are used to connect and disconnect mobile equipment safely. They provide an OSHA lockout/tagout point, prevent the connection of devices with different voltage/current ratings, and prevent the installation/removal of a plug when the switch is in the incorrect position.
Rotary Cam Switches
Motor transfer cam switches allow seamless changeover from one motor to another; motor reversing switches allow smooth direction change. Rotary cam switches are available with 2 or 3 poles, with a 5kA SCCR rating.
Disconnect External Handles & Components
Rotary handle and shaft assemblies allow disconnects or controllers installed in an enclosure to be operated externally. A variety of handle/shaft combinations are available, with most handles offering Lockout/Tagout functionality. Other items include adapters, shaft supports, and alignment guides.
Disconnect & Switch Accessories
A wide variety of accessories for disconnects and switches are available, including auxiliary contacts and additional poles, terminal shrouds and covers, replacement pin and sleeve disconnect switches, mounting and connection accessories, and terminal lugs.
