Hazardous Location Devices
Hazardous location devices include control stations that contain and extinguish explosions, preventing the igniting of external hazardous atmospheres. Models in a variety of control and indicating device configurations meet Class I and II, Div 1 & 2 requirements. HazLoc alarms are also available.

There are many industries that deal with hazardous material where extra precautions need to be taken to ensure electrical devices do not provide an ignition source for the surrounding environment. Hazardous location control stations are designed to isolate the internal electrical circuitry from its surroundings and prevent any dangers posed by the enclosed arcing device. Typical applications include petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, and hazardous processing or storage facilities where the atmosphere may contain hazardous gases or dust.
