The MAX+ series are inverter-duty AC motors with built-in encoders from Marathon Electric, performance matched for DURApulse or GS series drives to provide exceptional performance throughout the speed range. This design allows constant torque operation from 0 to base RPM on vector drive, and constant horsepower operation up to twice base RPM.
MAX+ AC Inverter-Duty Motors with Encoder (0.5HP to 5HP)
1000:1 Constant Torque (TENV)
The MAX+ motor, when teamed up
with AutomationDirect's DURApulse or GS series
drives, provides exceptional performance throughout its rated speed
range.
MAX+ AC electric motors are designed as a replacement
technology for Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) systems, (when used
with AC variable frequency drives); as a replacement for
multi-speed motors, single phase motors; and as a variable speed
upgrade from standard fixed speed motor systems.
When compared with PMDC technology, the MAX+ motor is
more efficient and produces more torque per amp.
MAX+ AC motors with encoder start at
$730.00 (Y280)

MAX+
Motors Shaft-Mounted Encoder:
A Dynapar Model HS20 shaft-mounted encoder is supplied
with the MAX+ motor
The encoder requires a 526 VDC power source, provides a
count of 1024 pulses per revolution (PPR), differential line
driver output
Includes 10 screw terminal wiring connections
When connecting the motor to a DURApulse AC drive, a
GS3-FB Feedback Card is required for the drive
Applications:
Replaces 90 and 180 volt PMDC motors (when used with AC
variable frequency drives)
Typical AC electric motor applications include: machine
tools, conveyors, packaging machines, batching machines, printing
equipment, pumps and fans
