Great product at the right price.
I've been using this on automation projects that have a small budget that would normally have to do without an touch screen HMI. Very easy to use. All of the HMI's that I have purchased, live in a manufacturing facility that can get very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. So far I haven't had one fail.2 of 2 people found this review helpful.
This is a great little HMI, and extremely easy to program. I'm interfacing with a CLICK PLC which was also very easy to set up. Working great, really like the multi-color backlight feature, as it's easy to indicate an alarm condition. The software is also very easy to use - just drag and drop what you want. It includes some nice bar graphs and other GUI elements that make the screen look good too. The USB programming cable works fine on my Windows 10 laptop! Just don't forget to press F1 and F5 at the same time to put it into Programming mode before trying to send a project. (If you forget, the software will even remind you!) Have already bought more, and will be buying more again soon!
Great product. I bought it for a simple applications of displaying error messages from the PLC but turned out to be more useful than just that and ended up adding more functionality and replacing physical buttons for in screen ones, passwords, and even numeric inputs to modify timer values were added. Definitely a versatile and great value product.1 person found this review helpful.
we have been using this product for more than 40 times, in our integrations. increasing the quality and reducing prices. better than other brands
Excellent product and cost effective also.
A great value for a budget minded use.
The price is awesome and you cant beat free software. This is the perfect way to get young people started in PLC programming.
I have used the 3" C-More Micro in my products for over 4 years without any issues. We build pre packaged automation equipment for the oil and gas industry and our products are located in areas with a wide range of environments. We have over 20 of these HMI's that have stood the test of time and the elements.1 person found this review helpful.
We were looking for a cheap, simple way to display some analog info on our control panel after installing a new DoMore PLC to supplement an existing system. We've been retrofitting ethernet into the cabinet and had intended to use something like the EA9-T6CL but at $700 it was out of budget and felt like overkill for what we needed to display (there was no user input needed). Reluctantly, we decided to give the EA1 a try even though it was monochrome and RS232 based. Once we began testing it, we realized it was the perfect solution for what we needed to do. We've had some bad experiences with RS232 in the past. It feels pretty dated by todays communication standards, but the setup for this panel was so simple that it worked immediately with our DoMore PLC with only a minimum of configuration. The programming software was nice and very visually accurate to the end result. The only issue we encountered was that it wasn't clear how to associate the panel buttons with screens in the programming. It did not take too long to figure it out, but it seemed like the type of thing that would have been incredibly easy to do. Ultimately we have grown to love these things. For $160 there's basically no reason to not put them in. There's almost always a reason to display supplemental information at our main control panels and adding a small screen to a 60 year old panel is an EASY way to give our operators valuable information for very little effort.
