Built specifically for the Productivity PLC series, Productivity Motion components easily integrate into Productivity PLC systems, providing enhanced motion capabilities with plug-and-play connectivity and convenient built-in motion instructions. CPUs, high-speed I/O and stand-alone motion controllers can be integrated to best suit the application.
The Productivity Motion Controller (PS-AMC) now supports coordinated motion for any of the three Productivity PLC systems. While each PLC system offers its unique capabilities, all three support high speed motion control of up to 16 axes (4 axes for P1000) with auto-detect, auto-configure and easy to use application instructions that accelerate your design time.
ProductivityMotion products are designed for ease of use and seamless integration with Productivity PLC systems. Rack-based high-speed modules and enhanced motion controllers are all available to add motion control to any Productivity PLC.
The PS-AMC motion controller used in tandem with select Productivity CPUs provides highly accurate positioning using encoder-fed control and is ideal for applications requiring several independent axes of motion and/or coordinated motion between some or all axes. The AMC can supply up to 1MHz pulse-train command signals to servo or stepper drives for extremely responsive movements in all types of applications:
For simple high-speed or motion control applications, Productivity high-speed input, output and counter modules provide capability ideal for applications that involve tracking rapid encoder pulses or precise positioning. Modules are also available to provide varying pulse width signals to control various industrial devices.
The Productivity Suite programming software for these PLCs has numerous built-in motion instructions that allow you to quickly and easily configure common motion profiles using simple drop-down selections. If you need something different, you can also create your own custom move profiles using the convenient Motion Sequencer (MSEQ) instruction.
