The BRX controller, along with the Do-more PLC control technology, was developed to tackle both straightforward and complex applications in no time. This PLC series is loaded with hardware and software features (including the handy project simulator and Rest API functionality) providing an extensive toolbox to satisfy even the most demanding projects.
Do-more Designer is the full-featured PLC programming software for the Do-more series of programmable logic controllers. The software is packed with development tools and features dedicated high speed I/O and motion control instructions for improved functionality, a powerful spreadsheet style MATH instruction that accepts formulas and variables, and support for a mix of stage and ladder programming for a best-of-both-worlds approach that simplifies code and makes troubleshooting easier.
Another benefit Do-more Designer offers is device-centric programming. This programming method allows the user to configure software "devices" that act as liaisons between the ladder code and the hardware itself. For example, easily create a device to handle communication rates, timeouts, etc. all behind the scenes without any extra ladder programming. This feature along with the other efficiencies built into the Do-more platform, and the many tools it provides, will allow you to master any control challenge, big or small.

BRX CPUs contain the processing power and I/O interface needed to perform logic operations, networking tasks, and many other functions required in an automated control system. The BRX series offers powerful CPUs in four different form factors - three with built-in I/O (PLC units) and one CPU without any I/O built in. Several communication options are available, and all the PLCs/CPUs can be expanded with stackable I/O modules to meet the input/output needs of the application at hand.
The BRX PLC remote I/O controllers simplify system architecture and reduce wiring costs when I/O must be located away from the local CPU. Remote I/O is ideal for segmented systems controlled by one main PLC or whenever it's more practical to mount the I/O at the machine it's controlling. By adding a remote I/O controller to the BRX PLC system, I/O capacity can be increased to over 4,000 discrete I/O points when using Do-more Ethernet Remote I/O and over 63,000 discrete I/O points with Modbus TCP.
Analog input, output, and input/output modules monitor and control pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process signals. Modules are available in high-resolution current, voltage, combination voltage/current, and sensor-specific or universal temperature models with support for a wide range of signals.
The BRX controllers have several communication options available including the built-in and optional POM communication ports. For systems requiring even more serial communication, optional networking modules are available to add up to 4 extra serial ports per module.
Motion and specialty modules are designed to perform specific functions, including input simulation, high-speed counting, and pulse width modulation. All BRX PLC models with 24VDC I/O have high-speed inputs and outputs built in; an additional 128 TTL (64 differential) @ 2MHz or 128 @ 250kHz local high-speed points can be added through expansion.
Accessories for the BRX PLC system include I/O module terminal blocks, replacement batteries, programming cables, and microSD cards. The powerful Do-more Designer programming software can be downloaded for free; a software CD is available for purchase if needed.
