DirectLOGIC 05 PLCs support specialized modules such as intelligent high-speed I/O and CoProcessors. High-speed modules can track or supply 250kHz pulse rates ideal for precise counting or motion control, while BASIC CoProcessor modules interface with bar code readers, printers and other serial devices. Simulator and memory modules are also offered.
Category Selection
DirectLOGIC DL05 (and DL06) PLCs can be customized to fit the requirements of applications by adding option modules in the built-in slots.
Triple-port BASIC, ASCII Overdrive CoProcessor Module interfaces the DL05/06 family of DirectLOGIC programmable controllers with bar code readers, operator interface terminals, instrumentation equipment, computers and other serial devices.
Applications - BASIC CoProcessors are designed for use with intelligent devices such as:
The F0-CP128 Triple-port BASIC, ASCII Overdrive CoProcessor Module is

(F0-CP128)
H0-CTRIO2 High-Speed Counter I/O modules are designed to accept high speed pulse-type input signals for counting or timing applications and to provide high speed pulse-type output signals for stepper/servo motor control, monitoring, alarm or other discrete control functions.
The H0-CTRIO2 High Speed Counter Interface Module is
$287.00
(H0-CTRIO2)
F0-08SIM 8 point input simulator module for DL05 and DL06 DirectLOGIC PLCs
The F0-08SIM Input Simulator Module is

D0-01MC - The D0-01MC memory cartridge slides easily into the option card slot in any DL05 PLC to back up PLC programs and data for extended periods of time.
NOTE:
New option modules may not be
supported by older CPUs purchased prior to the module's release.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: Can I control a servo/ stepper motor with a DirectLOGIC PLC?
The answer is YES. The DL05 or DL06 PLC with a counter/ pulse output module (H0-CTRIO or H0-CTRIO2) has two independently configurable timer/ counter channels (up to 100 kHz or 250 KHz) and one pulse output generator (up to 25 kHz or 250 Khz)). An easy-to-use configuration tool is included in the AutomationDirect PLC programming software, so it's simple to integrate with your other application logic. For example, the DirectLOGIC DL05 or DL06 PLCs, using a pulse output signal, work very well with the SureStep stepper systems offered by AutomationDirect, as well as other servo/ stepper system products.
Servo and stepper systems come in many flavors and can be difficult to apply due to application-specific conditions, such as physical inertia of a mass, mechanical windup, mechanical tolerances, friction, etc. Addressing these conditions will typically consume significantly more time and effort than developing the basic programming for the PLC and servo controller. AutomationDirect has simplified the programming of the PLC and H0-CTRIO(2) module that interfaces to the servo or stepper systems. The SureStep microstepping drive offers a simplified drive and stepping motor setup. Together, they can make the positioning or motion control part of your project go more smoothly.
