DirectLOGIC 405 PLCs support several specialized modules such as intelligent high-speed I/O and temperature controller modules. High-speed modules can track 100kHz or supply 250kHz pulse rates ideal for precise counting or motion control, while temperature controller modules can control 4 loops with relay outputs. Simulators and many others are also available.

The DirectLOGIC DL405 programmable logic controller (PLC) product family offers several specialty modules for various types of applications. When your application calls for more than simple I/O control or monitoring, select a link below to check out one of our specialty modules:
H4-ERM100 100Mbps 10/100BaseT Ethernet Module
The Ethernet Remote Master H4-ERM100 connects 430, 440 and 450 CPU systems to slave I/O over a high-speed Ethernet link. Each ERM100 module can support up to 16 additional H2-EBC systems, 16 Terminator I/O EBC systems, or 16 fully expanded H4-EBC systems. Of course, combinations are fine, too.
The H4-EBC Ethernet Base Controller module provides a high performance, low-cost Ethernet link between your PC-based control system or H4-ERM Ethernet remote I/O system and DL405 I/O. The H4-EBC module supports industry standard 10Base-T Ethernet communications. The T1H-EBC100 module supports TCP/ IP, UDP/ IP, IPX and the MODBUS TCP/IP application layer protocol at 100 Mbps maximum.
The T1H-EBC module provides a low-cost Ethernet link between Terminator I/O and your WinPLC/ DL205/ DL405 CPUs using the H*-ERM module for remote I/O. T1H-EBC modules support industry standard 10BaseT Ethernet communications. When using a DirectLOGIC CPU with an ERM module as the network master, the T1H-EBC slave will provide faster analog I/O update times than the same CPU system with a T1K-RSSS slave system. The ERM/ EBC system can also support a much higher analog I/O count than the T1K-RSSS remote I/O system. The T1H-EBC supports the full lineup of Terminator I/O discrete and analog modules.
When using a DirectLOGIC CPU with an ERM module as the network master, the T1H-EBC100 slave will provide faster analog I/O update times than a DirectLOGIC CPU system with a T1K-RSSS slave system. The ERM/ EBC system can also support a much higher analog I/O count than the T1K-RSSS remote I/O system. EBC modules offer:
You can use the H4-CTRIO module with the DirectLOGIC D4-450 CPUs only. The module plugs into any I/O slot of any DirectLOGIC 405 local base and is not supported in expansion bases. The H4-CTRIO module is supported in the H4-EBC.
The F4-4LTC combines the features of four Single Loop Temperature Controllers into one inexpensive module. The module has four asynchronous, configurable PID loops, with built-in temperature inputs and control outputs so that precision temperature control is maintained, even while the PLC is in program mode. This module can control temperatures up to ±3276.7°C/°F and accepts either thermocouple or RTD inputs.
NOTE: New option modules may not be supported by older
CPUs purchased prior to the module's release. Be sure to
check for the latest firmware for your PLC. You can refer to the
module specification page on our Web site for this information, or
find it in our free catalog.
