Non-contact coded magnetic stand-alone safety switches can monitor opening/closing of machine guards, doors or other machinery. The differences from a standard non-contact safety switch are that these stand-alone models use force guided contacts, contain an internal monitoring system and do not require an external safety relay. Coding offers a degree of tamper resistance.
IDEM stand-alone non-contact magnetic coded switches can monitor the opening and closing of machine guards, doors or other machinery access panels. Unlike other non-contact safety switches, these safety switches do not require the use of a separate safety relay. They use force guided contacts and have an internal monitoring system similar to what is used in safety relays. Some of these units have a manual reset while others are automatic; certain models offer selectable manual/auto modes.
