Great PLC you can't beat the price for what you get. Understand that you will need a special cable they supply. I did not notice this when I bought it and had to purchase it separately which cost me more shipping.

Great power supply for the Click PLCs or any other system you need a 24 VDC power supply for.

So handy. I keep these on hand for small projects the pop up without warning and I also use them as Ethernet/IP remote I/O. Easily configure your own Ethernet/IP EDS file, export, then import into a PLC of your choosing. They provide more flexibility than normal remote I/O, since they're an actual PLC; I can program failure modes into them, and/or program them for local operation. For example, my pneumatic conveyance blower skids can be used in standalone/portable mode, or be tied into a permanent system and controlled by a master PLC. In the master PLC situation, if it loses communication with the master, rather than the outputs remaining in their last state or defaulting to some predefined "safe" state, I have the blower enter a safe shutdown sequence with timers and logic.

Great for what it is. Very reliable considering the cost of the unit. I have used them in many applications and they have not let me down. The tech support that AD has is great if you need it. You can wire to the PLC unit itself but its way better to use the ZipLink that is also sold on here. Just remember the pinout is not the same and you need to use the labels that the ZipLink comes with.

First I must say that I love this PLC. As an electrician, I have struggled to access hardware that would allow me to not only wire but also Program and experiment with analog signals in a format that I feel closely reflects field conditions. Click PLCs have opened ,my mind to many new and interesting concepts that I wasn't able to access through some of the other PLC units that I own such as actually using Ethernet, Analog addressing and PID functionality. I strongly recommend that if you are a student of automation such as myself, that you start with this unit instead of going with a more expensive Allen Bradley or Siemens which will only allow you to program digital IO and usually will not have analog or Ethernet capabilities. One of the features that I strongly DISLIKE on these PLCs is the connection points that you physically wire to. They are simply too small and placing the screw terminal on the right hand side of the terminal block facing the neighboring modules terminal blocks seems absurd to me, especially if you need to add a point while the PLC is operating. Furthermore the points are too small to accept a number 16 ferrule. This was a frustration for me because I had already purchased #16 wire to construct my project with. Hopefully you read this and go with #18 or smaller. In closing, this is a very good purchase that is well designed especially on the software side of things and you simply can't beat the price.

This Click PLC was setup to be used as trainer for my maintenance crew and then put into the field for a small project. Software is very user friendly and very powerful compared to other brands. Setup is easy and free training videos really helped my guys!!

We found this unit to lack the robustness of the BX series PLCs. If you have an application that uses any complicated serial interfaces (this appears to be only half duplex) just spend the extra money and get the BX. For simple/budget automation applications this PLC will be fine.

I purchased this plc with absolutely no previous plc programming experience. I had some basic ladder logic knowledge but that was it. Within 30 mins of downloading the software I had a program written. A little bit of troubleshooting (me not completely understanding the logic I was writing) and I had everything working as intended. I have since expanded my project and ordered more modules to integrate more. Would absolutely purchase another click plc if the need arose.

A few years ago we decided to give this new , inexpensive PLC a shot. Nothing to loose. The Programming software is free so why not? We used it in a new machine we were building for production. It was so easy and inexpensive to build the panel. That machine has been in production about 5 years now. That was the first machine we developed using the Click series. We build quite a bit of equipment for our production area. For the last few years we have only used the Click series so our builds were standardized to one software. We have used a variety of the Click models in many different types of builds from the very simple to pretty complicated. There is a PLC and add-on's to fit just about any application. We just finished a 15 unit build for production, saved a ton of cash. I've yet been disappointed with the Click series or Automation Direct.
