Safety relay modules use monitoring logic, as well as overvoltage and short-circuit protection, in combination with redundant relays, to provide a high level of fail-safe operation. Positive guided contacts assure reliability for safety applications. Available models include E-stop, two-hand, safety gate, safety mat, light curtain, and speed safety relays.

Auto Direct is my first source when I buy my automation products and have had no issues in the past with any of their product, however this safety relay really threw me for a loop when wiring and testing. Given it's a German device and the drop sheet is written in multiple languages, I get it that there's only so much they can include in the instructions. However one of the most important things needed to get this to work is barely mentioned and is not shown in any diagrams. There are 2 switches that need to be switched (depending on your application) in order for the relay to work. The said switches live under a cover on the top of the relay where the power and relay status LED's are located. There is no mention anywhere on how to access these switches. I was ready to throw the relay in the trash until I noticed the 4 grooves in the cover so you can pry the cover off with a small screwdriver. Very frustrating. Would I buy it again? Why yes, now that I know where the stinking switches live.

The product was selected by our customer, and we are sure glad they did. The value is very good, just like the ease of use! This is the perfect product for our safety application. We will use this product again!

Just tried out one of these units in an existing panel, primarily because of limited space. The directions were easy to understand and the function was as-expected. The only down size is the spring terminals don't accept anything but small wires, #18 max w/o ferrule, #20 max with ferrule.

Used product several times, very useful and does the job without any issues. Manual provides a very clear and direct description of use and example of how to wire. Definitely in the plans for future projects.

It does exactly what is says it does. I have used now in half a dozen places for e-stops and access gates. The oldest one with this relay is about 2 years old and not a single hiccups.
