The VP1 series motors are designed for use on unfiltered SCR or thyristor type rectified AC input, pulse width modulated DC adjustable drives, or across-the-line applications and are built to AGMA standards, making them interchangeable with most other brands. These VP1 series units are available with parallel shafts in 90VDC, with speed ranges from 7 to 165 RPM, and torque from 13 to 280 in-lbs. The 2-wire connection makes for easy installation, rotation can be swapped, and reverse operation is no issue. The IP 40 die-cast aluminum bodies and metal gears, along with replaceable brushes, provide long-term dependability in harsh industrial environments. The VP1 series is available in 3 versions, all having the great features I mentioned. The VP1A units are the largest and most versatile, with torque up to 280 in-lbs, speeds from 18 to 165 RPM, and a hefty 5/8” shaft. The VP1B’s offer medium torque up to 100 in-lbs, 20 to 139 RPM, and a ½” shaft. The compact VP1C models offer the smallest footprint with torque up to 50 in-lbs in an RPM range of 7-94, with a 5/16” shaft.
