Welcome to the PocketCodr teach tutorial. To set the switching distance on your sensor, make sure the smart sensor is mounted in a holder and the target is positioned correctly. The sensor is connected to the PocketCodr through a cable. Open the PocketCodr app and view the main interface, including the sensor info, live data graph, widgets, and internal sensor signals. In the app, select the measurement value to display it on the live data graph. Move the target toward the sensor and watch as the live data graph updates in real-time, displaying the measured distance. Select the teach widget. Several teaching procedures are available; here, we will show you the single-value teach procedure. Move the target to the desired switching distance. Click teach to set the switching threshold and confirm. Select the switching signal on the live graph. What you can see has been added below the measurement value. Move the target back and forth to observe the switching signal on the graph changing at the desired taught value. Congratulations, you've successfully taught the switching distance on your smart sensor. Learn more at Automationdirect.com, the number 1 value in automation.
