Category Selection
Electronic circuit breakers/protectors provide supplementary protection for electrical circuits against overcurrent and short-circuit faults. They use solid-state components and advanced algorithms to quickly sense and interrupt the current flow, minimizing the duration of a fault and reducing the potential for damage to the electrical system. They provide improved reliability, accuracy, and flexibility compared to traditional counterparts and offer advanced features, such as adjustable trip characteristics, remote signaling, and thermal-magnetic or electronic trip units. NEC Class 2 rated models allow conversion from a non-NEC Class 2 power supply to a Class 2 device.
