Circuit Protection / Fuses / Disconnects
Circuit protection is critical for industrial or commercial installations to meet national codes and protect equipment and processes from overloads and short circuits. An extensive selection of circuit breakers, supplementary protectors, fuses and holders, and disconnects is available, many complying with UL 98, UL 508, UL 489, and UL 1008 standards.
- Circuit breakers provide resettable short-circuit and overload protection
- Fuses melt on overload and short-circuit events to open circuits and protect downstream equipment
- Manual transfer switches offer selectable load connections between two supply circuits
- Disconnects safely de-energize circuits for service; transfer and cam switches select and disconnect sources and loads
