Serial Isolators and Converters
Several serial converters and isolators are available to provide seamless signal transmission between various devices on a serial network, including USB to serial adapters and converters, RS232 converters and adapters, RS422 converters and adapters and RS485 converters and adapters.

Universal Isolated Network Adapter
The FA-ISOCON universal isolated network adapter is used to place RS-232 devices such as PLCs, operator interfaces, industrial computers, etc., on an RS-422 or RS-485 multidrop network.
- Converts RS-232 signal levels to isolated RS-422 or RS-485
- Isolation removes ground loop currents and noise voltages. Common mode noise effects are eliminated.
- Power directly from the +5V pins on most DirectLOGIC CPU ports, from a PLC base 24 VDC power supply, or external power supply.

The F2-UNICON universal converter converts RS-232 signal levels to RS-422 signal levels or RS-422 signal levels into RS-232 signals.
- Specifically designed to be used with the DL05 DirectLOGIC CPU.
- Does not require an external power source. It obtains power from the DL05 (port 2).
- Does not provide network isolation
