Aluminum worm gearboxes (speed reducers) with NEMA inputs drive loads at a reduced fixed ratio of motor speed, with lightweight corrosion-resistant housings. Output torque is increased by that same ratio; horsepower is unchanged (less efficiency losses). Available models offer up to a 100:1 gear ratio.

Aluminum Worm Gearboxes (NEMA Input)
Aluminum worm gearboxes with NEMA input faces are low-cost and lightweight with hollow-shaft outputs that extend all the way through from one side to the other. They feature a hardened worm shaft for increased durability and are ideal for medium-duty applications that have a less frequent run rate or can justify a shorter service life.
- 30mm to 75mm center distances (frame sizes)
- 10:1 to 100:1 ratios (in most sizes)
- 56C, 145TC, and 182/4TC input faces
- Hollow shaft output with single or double output shaft options (accessories)
- Two bearings on input and output shafts
- NEMA motor input flanges
- All units filled with Mobil SHC634 synthetic oil
- No vent plug or breather needed; maintenance-free reducer
- Double lip oil seals prevent leakage
