VFD / Servo cable with signal pair can supply both power and signal in the same jacket, and offers excellent EMI shielding. The included shielded signal pair makes it ideal for motors and drives requiring brake control or feedback, such as SureServo products. Available with four conductors in various wire sizes, cable is ordered in your required lengths, in 1 foot increments (20ft minimum).
VFD/Servo Signal Pair Cable
4-Conductor VFD Cable with Signal Pair
VFD-SC series VFD / Servo cable is the same high-quality cable as our VFDC series with one additional feature. The VFD-SC cable has a shielded 16 AWG signal pair allowing this cable to be used with motors and drives requiring brake control or feedback from devices like temperature or position sensors. Having the integral signal pair allows this cable to be used with our SureServo Drives and Motors up to 3kW.

VFDs generate disruptive electrical noise in the environment around them. The noise emitted can affect other devices such as electronic equipment, commercial grade Ethernet systems and instrumentation wiring. VFD cables combat that by utilizing grounding, shielding & insulation.
An improper cable connected to VFDs creates noise-related issues within the system and improperly terminated cables can release captured noise current. AutomationDirect/Southwire VFD cables offer both a ground conductor of equal to the size of the power conductors as well as separate drains for the shielding.
To avoid noise problems, VFD cable needs to be effectively shielded. Research suggests that shielding systems that include a combination foil & braid types are the most appropriate for VFD applications.
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation far surpasses PVC/nylon as an insulator for VFD cables because it can withstand voltages as much as 3x higher.
