DIN rail provides a support structure within a control panel for numerous types of electrical devices. It allows for a much easier mounting method than directly mounting each component to the panel wall.
DIN rail can also be used to supply a grounding connection and act as a ground busbar when mounted correctly and the appropriate ground terminal block is installed on the rail.
DIN rail accessories provide options to raise and/or tilt rails; clips add rail mounting capability to small devices that were not manufactured with this mounting method.
