We started offering DC motors and now we have the drives to control them. There is a huge install of DC motors and drives in the industrial environment because they are less expensive than AC drives and typically have a better low speed performance and are great choices for battery operated jobs, portable machines and more. There are 37 new parts with this product launch with 6 GSD families and several accessories. We have input voltages with Dual voltages of 12 & 24 volt DC, 12 & 24 volt AC and 120 & 240 volt AC with output voltages of 12, 24, 90 and 180 volts DC! We offer units with Output currents all the way up to 20amps and horsepower ratings from 1/50th up to 3 horsepower. These drives are available in open frame and in NEMA 4 enclosure versions. Our GSD Ironhorse DC drives are Simple analog devices that you can tune with the potentiometer. They are quick and simple to install usually with 2 input wires and 2 motor wires. Accessories are available like speed potentiometers, reverse switches, acceleration/deceleration adjustment cards and more like this Digital programmable potentiometer.
