AutomationDirect loves being part of GRITS, so like you, we were crushed that there would be no offseason GRITS event this year for the Infinite Recharge Game and that we wouldn’t have an opportunity to create another automated GRITS trophy. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t still have some creative fun with it – so AutomationDirect is teaming up with Georgia FIRST to create a Virtual GRITS Event that any Georgia Team can participate in from the comfort of their own shop/office/classroom or home. The Virtual GRITS design challenges will be announced on September 12th at the Fall Symposium which will also be a virtual event that anyone can attend for free. The symposium will be jam-packed with all kinds of great information that will help you grow your FIRST team and your design skills. So be sure to register for the symposium at GeorgiaFIRST.org under Resources and keep a lookout for the Virtual GRITS design challenge announcement. Now I can’t tell you what the design challenges are … but I can tell you it would be very worthwhile to take a look at the previous year’s Trophy Design videos that we created for you. You will find links to those videos in the description below this video and at the GeorgiaFIRST.org Virtual GRITS web page. You might just find something useful in those videos that will help you with the Virtual GRITS Design Challenges! Yes, that was a hint!
