Hammond Power Solutions Drive Isolation Transformers have a rugged design allowing them to withstand the mechanical stresses, voltage distortions, and heating associated with motor drives. Put simply, drive isolation transformers maximize power quality by isolating the primary and secondary windings and adding inductive impedance to the circuit, reducing distortion and isolating circuits. They do this by isolating the primary and secondary winding with an electrostatic shield and dielectric barrier which allows the transfer of power from AC sources to equipment and devices while safely isolating the device from the power source. This maximizes safety as well as protects sensitive devices, reduces heat output, and suppresses noise interference. Basically, it gives all the benefits of a line reactor, plus provides common-mode noise and transient suppression, and prevents drive-induced ground currents from being passed upstream.

Hammond Power Solutions has worked with their customers and redesigned these transformers to be more reliable as well as thermal and energy efficient. Its standard 10kV BIL rating provides increased protection against critical equipment failure. Outdoor and Indoor Installation is also improved with standard ceiling, floor, and wall mounting brackets.

Available in a range of sizes for 5 to 200 HP drives, they come with a 460V delta primary, a 460Y secondary, and include multiple taps for additional voltages.

The transformers are UL Listed, CSA certified, and come with a 10-year warranty.
