Down here in the basement, we need a quiet environment to make great videos. Noise can disrupt our work, so to help solve the problem, we built 2 signs to remind people we are recording. We used SureFrame 1 inch profile aluminum rails for the stands, WERMA twinlights along with an AutomationDirect one hole pushbutton enclosure and a Fuji selector switch for visual alerting system. Instead of using brackets for this build, we are using m6 button head fasteners which save on cost, parts and they keep a clean look for the structure. I used a 7/32 drill bit because the hole size is big enough to accommodate a 4mm T handle wrench or hex key. This makes it easy to securely tighten the frame. Tap the end of the aluminum rails, insert a fastener into the threaded holes and slide the rail until you see the end of the screw in the drilled holes. Use your t handle to tighten. We wired the lights for blinking so one wire connects to XO for the common and the other to X2. We used 1 inch Iboco wire duct to tidy the wiring. We used spring nuts to mount the enclosure as they make it easy to place the enclosure where we want. Let’s see how it looks: Hopefully these alerting signs will help keep the noise down.
