Industrial Use Bulk Multiconductor Data Cables Features:
The 24 AWG tinned copper conductors are twisted pairs to reduce electrical noise sensitivity.
These multi-conductor cables are available in one, two, or three twisted pair conductor color coded constructions.
The polyethylene conductor insulation provides a very high insulation resistance with a low, stable dielectric constant resulting in lower capacitance and excellent velocity of propagation for superior signal transmission.
To protect from radiated or conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI), our industrial data cables have combination shields consisting of an overall foil shield layer with drain wire and a woven braid shield layer.
The overall foil shield has 100% cable coverage for excellent protection against higher frequency noise. A drain wire is provided to easily terminate and ground the foil shield. A second shield layer consists of a woven braid that is ideal for minimizing low frequency interference while providing superior structural integrity to the overall cable.
Our combination foil/braid shielded data communication cables offer maximum shield effectiveness across the frequency spectrum compared to other single layer shielded cables. The rugged gray PVC jacket is durable enough for use in demanding industrial applications.
Available in 100, 500 and 1000 foot lengths
Approval ratings: UL CM/CL2 or AWM Style 2919
Welcome to Kickstart where you get to see new products here at AutomationDirect. Today I am going to show you our new low capacitance data Cables for RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 applications in industrial environments. Our customers have asked, and our product team has provided…so we can become YOUR one stop shop for all of your automation needs. We have 15 new part numbers with each style in 100ft, 500ft and 1000ft lengths. RS – 485 comes in 1, 2 or 3 pair and the RS-232 and RS-422 are in 2 or 3 pair. These data cables are color coded 24 gauge, tinned copper twisted pairs to reduce electrical noise. The combination foil and braid shields protect from radiated or conducted EMI across the frequency spectrum. The overall foil shield with 100% cable coverage provides excellent protection from higher frequency noise. And, a drain wire is provided to easily terminate the foil shield. The second shield layer is a woven braid for minimizing low frequency interference while providing structural integrity to the overall cable. They have a rugged gray PVC jacket that provides durability in demanding applications. You can find a data cable cross reference on our website, or by calling our tech support.
