Five Trip Classes: Class 5, 10B, 10, 20, 30
The SR33 series semi-conductor solid state soft starters provide many advantages when used instead of electro-mechanical contactors to control 3-phase AC induction motors:
The SR33 series motor soft starters use thyristors for controlled reduced voltage motor starting and stopping, then switch to internal contacts for efficient running at the rated speed
They are designed to fit in place of existing wye-delta starters.
Welcome to Kickstart where you get to see new products here at AutomationDirect. Today I am going to show you AutomationDirects brand of soft starters by Stellar. The product line we have here today are our Stellar SR33 Basic Soft Starters. Soft Starters are a great low cost alternative to using AC drives. They are basically a reduced voltage starter which reduces mechanical and electrical stresses compared to line starting. These SR33 soft starters are considered to be as easy to configure as our SR22s but yet have high current ratings like our SR44 soft starters. These are considered the middle of the line model soft starters. There are 15 models in 3 frame sizes with 4 different terminal configurations. They are easily configured using these three potentiometers. They are Microprocessor based and they do have built in diagnostics. The Operating voltages are from 208 to 460VAC with current ranges from 22 to 482 Amps. They have adjustable start and stop times as well as starting voltage levels. They offer over current protection and the frame allows them to be easily mounted by tabs. These are great for applications like Pumps, Blowers , Conveyors, Mixers, high and low inertia fans and more These SR33 soft starters carry a 2 year warranty. You can find the agency approvals and specs for these soft starters on our website at : www.automationdirect.com Don’t forget: we sell SR22 and SR44 lines of soft starters as well as AC Drives, contactors and motor starters and more.
