Safety Light Curtains from AutomationDirect

Of course I could have created that same style setup with a number or products from Relays, to PLCs, indicator lights to HMIs and from sensors to light curtains. But we chose this route of using light curtains in order to feature them. Today I am going to show you our Safety Light Curtains from the brand Contrinex. Automation Direct has been carrying safey light curtains for years. We offer 42 light curtains that are category 4/ type 4 and 6 accessories that go along with them. We offer two styles of light curtains: Finger safe with 14mm resolution and Hand safe with 30mm resolution and these range from sizes of 142mm up to 1827mm. Light curtains are referred to as: AOPD or active Optoelectronic Protective Devices. These safety light curtains are used in applications where risks cannot be eliminated by machine design but require frequent and open access during process or operations. You can find light curtains in applications like cutting or rolling machines, packaging, automated assembly machinery as well as many styles of presses just to name a few. These require a sender and a receiver unit that look for a break or interruption in the light beam. Make sure you order one of each for a complete system. Mounting hardware is included.
