More Than Meets The Eye - WenglorTPL Vision Flat Lights and Flat Dome Lights from AutomationDirect

In this video, we’ll be covering the Wenglor TPL Vision flat light and flat dome lights. The flat light is a high-powered solution for all backlighting applications and quality control tasks including detection of presence/absence, analyzing edge defects, liquid fill measurement, and silhouetting. They can also be used for direct lighting for high gloss surfaces. This brightfield method is better explained in the first video in our series. Check out that video for more information! We also carry flat dome lights for pick-and-place applications or logistics. It features a central opening for simple camera placement for use with up to a 65mm diameter lens. These backlights have narrow borders, only 4mm, to increase the size of the illumination area and for ease of integration into your system or application. The unit’s LEDs are mounted with highly efficient lenses to distribute the highest brightness and uniformity balance available for machine vision backlights. They also come with T-slot on the edge of the light to make mounting easy too! These are powered by a 24V DC power supply and use a standard M12 connector. Included integrated current control makes this device easy to wire install and use! We carry 3 sizes of flat lights: 200mm x 200mm, 300 x 300mm and 400 x 400mm with continuous or strobe modes and in white or infrared colors.
