AutomationDirect has teamed with ASO GmbH who, since 1984, has been a leader in providing innovative ASO Safety Solution products such as safety edges, mats and specialized safety relays. Safety mats and edges are used to protect people and machinery from harm. A full range of sizes and lengths of mats and edges are in stock for immediate shipment.
Safety mats detect the presence of personnel on horizontal surfaces (usually the floor). ASO safety mats provide a wide horizontal detection area for personnel. The safety function is triggered when a person steps on the mat. Tapered or straight edge styles allow configuration flexibility.
Safety edges can be used on any surface, usually near possible crushing or shearing points and are touch-sensitive devices that detect presence at possible danger points. The safety function is triggered when a person or object contacts the edge. They are typically installed near automatic gates and other machinery to protect individuals from bodily harm or machinery from damage.
The ASO Safety Solutions safety relay module is a specialized relay used to wire both mats and edges for fail-safe triggering of the intended safety function.
Safety mats are cULus rated and safety edges are cURus compliant. Both mats and edges are CE, RoHs, Reach compliant and carry a 1-year warranty.
Welcome to Kickstart where you get to see new products here at AutomationDirect. Today I am going to show you our new safety contacts mats and accessories from the brand ASO Safety! If you want to learn more about our safety products. keep watching! We are happy to announce, there are 6 new square edge mats and 6 new tapered edge mats in this launch! They come in the sizes shown Trim kits are available in sizes to match the square edge mats. The kits come with aluminum ramp rails and end caps. In addition to these new safety mats, we are also now offering safety edges in 25 by 30mm profile and 25 by 45mm profile. These safety edges come in 4 lengths as shown and can be connected in series to a maximum length defined by the safety relay installed. Don't forget, the safety edges do require end caps like these to complete the circuit. Simply select the profile size, and either purchase one of the pre-cut lengths or purchase one longer than needed and cut the safety edge with these shears, also sold here at AutomationDirect. The safety edge sold in 20 and 82-foot lengths are rolled up for shipping. Don't forget to select the proper sized mounting rail needed for the safety edge. The aluminum mounting rails are sold in 2 and 5-foot lengths. Applications where these safety edges are used are in machine cutting or shearing applications where persons and limbs are in danger and need to be protected. They can also be used on automated guided vehicles like unmanned forklifts. To round out this new safety offering, AutomationDirect is also offering an ASO Safety Relay to be used with the mats and the edges. Now the safety relay can operate on supply voltages of 24Volts AC or DC or 120 Volts AC. These ASO Safety Relays can only be wired in 2 wire configurations.
