Version control in Productivity Suite brings powerful project tracking and change management tools directly into your programming environment. To get started, access the Version Control dialog from the Tools menu, or by navigating to Write Program under Application Tools. Once inside, you’ll find a suite of features designed to streamline your workflow and safeguard your project history. First, the Manage Project Repository dialog lets you enable or disable version control for the current project and specify the location of its Git repository. If a repository doesn’t already exist, Productivity Suite will automatically create one. Just keep in mind—if the project’s current save location differs, the software will prompt you before moving files. The History Log displays all commits made to your repository, listing dates, authors, messages, and affected files. You can filter to view just your project’s commits or browse the entire repository history. With a simple right-click, you can compare versions, open older revisions, or even revert to a previous version if needed—without affecting unrelated files. Need to analyze a specific file change? You can view or export any file revision directly from the Files Affected section. This makes it easy to retrieve or share specific versions without disrupting your working project. Finally, when you’re ready to save your changes, use the Commit feature. Select the files to include, write a commit message, and your changes are securely saved to the repository. Productivity Suite’s built-in version control ensures you stay in control of your automation projects every step of the way.
