Today I am going to show you our new non- contact safety switches from the brand IDEM.
These new safety switches come in two styles: magnetic -- the actuator is a standard magnet and the contacts can handle up to two amps for certain models and, we also offer: Coded style-- meaning that multiple magnets have their poles purposely positioned making it harder to defeat the safety switch.
The coded sensors offer LED status indication, have polarity sensitive outputs and handle twenty four volts dc up to two hundred milli amps.
Both technologies are offered in plastic and metal housings and there are several housing styles to work in a variety of applications.
The plastic style is a polyester sensor and actuator with PVC cable. The Metal is a stainless steel sensor and actuator with a PVC cable and the last is a metal-f style that instead of through hole mounting, they have threaded holes on the underside to allow a smooth front side which makes cleaning easy in food applications.
These switches offer large sensing ranges up to twenty milli meter with misalignment tolerances.
You can find the agency approvals and specs for these new IDEM non- contact safety switches on our website at: https://www.automationdirect.com/safety-switches
Don't forget: we sell many other styles of switches and sensors.
