Connecting devices in your automation projects couldn't be simpler, using the built-in drivers in C-more HMIs. These next-level HMIs seamlessly integrate with AutomationDirect devices, including Click, Do-more/BRX, and Productivity PLCs, as well as GS drives and Solo temperature controllers. But that's not all. C-More also connects natively to products from all the other top manufacturers, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, and GE, as well as industry-standard protocols like MODBUS and IIoT communications like FTP, SMTP, MQTT, and its own secure HTTPS web server. Connecting to anything using C-more is as simple as filling in a form.
Currently, the CM5 series of C-more supports the following protocols, and we continually add more. Upgrade to the latest version of C-more to take advantage of all the communication options available with C-More HMIs.
• Allen-Bradley DF1 full duplex

HMIs have one main job: display what's happening in your system. But to do that, the HMI needs to speak the same language as the hardware—your PLC, drive, or even something simple, like a temperature controller. Drivers are the files that teach the HMI how to communicate with those devices. No driver, no data. It’s that simple. And yet not all drivers are created equal. Unlike generic, one-size-fits-all protocols, native drivers are written specifically for the hardware they connect to. That means faster, smoother communication and fewer headaches during setup. C-more can even use those drivers to talk to devices using different protocols at the same time, acting as a translator between those devices. Of course, we made sure C-more HMIs play perfectly with AutomationDirect gear. Whether it’s CLICK, Do-more/BRX, or Productivity PLCs, even GS drives and SOLO temperature controllers, C-more just works. Just select the driver in the C-more software, configure your connection, and you’re ready to build your project. But here’s the part that really makes life easier: C-more doesn’t lock you into one ecosystem. We’ve got native drivers for the other big names too—Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, GE, and more. And we’re not stopping there. We’re constantly adding new drivers to expand manufacturer support so your HMI can keep up with your growing projects. Simply upgrade your C-more development software to the latest version to take advantage of all available protocols. So whether you’re upgrading an old line, mixing equipment from different vendors, or just want the freedom to choose, C-more gives you that flexibility. That just about covers most PLCs out there. But for everything else, C-more’s still got you covered with universal standards like Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP, protocols that have been—and still are—used everywhere in drives, controllers, and legacy systems. And for modern connectivity, you’ll find IIOT tools like the ultra-secure secure MQTTs, as well as FTP, email, and even a built-in HTTPS webserver, so your HMI can talk not just to the plant floor, but to higher-level systems as well. So yes, the C-more CM5 talks to just about everything. And if you ever need help getting your system connected, our award-winning technical support team is always ready to step in. Bottom line? The C-more CM5 series is built to connect. Native drivers for AutomationDirect products and most major brands, plus universal and modern protocols, all in one package. It’s the HMI that speaks your system’s language… fluently. Find all your project needs at automationdirect.com. Click here to learn more about C-more HMIs.
