AutomationDirect carries a full selection of industrial circuit protection devices at incredible prices, high stock rates and fast shipping. MCCBs provide UL 489 listed performance for branch circuit and feeder overcurrent protection and disconnecting means. Molded Case Circuit Breakers sold by AutomationDirect are more compact than other breakers so they take up less space in control panels. These conform to most industry standards such as UL, cULus, IEC, CE Marking, JIS, and CCC. They are suitable for feeder and branch circuits with current rating up to 800A and interrupting capacities up to 100kA at 240v. UL 489 miniature circuit breakers can be used in many applications where larger MCCBs were once required. These take up much less panel space and can be DIN rail mounted. Like larger MCCBs these often carry the same industry standard ratings. These are limited compared to MCCBs with current ratings of up to 63A and less that 20kA interrupt rating. UL1077 supplemental miniature breakers are a little different. They are similar in size as the UL 489 miniature breakers but cannot be used interchangeably. Supplemental breakers are used when required circuit protection is already present or not required but you wish to add to it. Such as you may want a smaller breaker to protect equipment than what the branch circuit protection is rated for. Whether you prefer circuit breakers, fuses, disconnect switches or other types of circuit protection, Automation Direct is your common sense way to buy industrial controls.
