IDEM Two Hand Safety Control from AutomationDirect

These systems require the user to have both hands on the station prior to any movements occurring on the machine. If one hand or the other is removed during motion, the system turns off the safety outputs and the system is rendered safe. AutomationDirect offers several operator station options to allow you maximum flexibility in your application. We have a station that includes zero force touch buttons, a station that has traditional spring return buttons, and a third station with 30mm knockouts to allow use of your choice of control pushbutton. Each also includes five 22mm blanked knockouts to allow you to further customize controls or indicators as needed for your application. All three stations also include a quick disconnect wiring board pre-mounted, to allow easy wiring termination back to the safety relay or controller. The two stations that have buttons included come with the buttons pre-connected to the wiring board. These operator stations should be connected to a two-hand control safety relay to achieve the required safety level. AutomationDirect also offers an IDEM two-hand control safety relay to control safety outputs based on the status of the control station. This relay can be powered by 24VAC or DC, has 2NO safety outputs, and can integrate seamlessly with the IDEM operator control console.
